Announcing Preptober Prompts! // and other updates + disgruntled Liriel makes an appearance

Whaaaat, who's this interrupting your Thursday? Oh look -- it's me!!     Yeah, okay. I have several announcements. First, I finally bought my internet domain! Yes, gone are the days of WordPress creepin' on my blog address and ads about feet. This shipwreck is the thesarcasticelf.COM now, and I'm monstrously proud of my baby. [...]

Hey, you!

–I’M SARAH–

Oddball sarcasm enthusiast, INTJ, and Christian teenager whose main ambition in life is to glorify my Savior while writing stories that convict and inspire. Welcome to my haven of cheerful stupidity: a place where wisecracks abound, geekiness is encouraged, and I endeavor to show the world that finding joy in the little things of life will make you happier than a hobbit.

I also have a tendency to fry people’s minds. Read on at your own risk.

Because don't you want to get a lovely little notification every time I write something profound?

Happy Hobbit Day!! (says Sarah, a day late and a dollar short...)
I’d like to thank Andrew Peterson for giving me an excuse to paint sea dragons. • #WingfeatherSaga #AndrewPeterson #FanArt #SeaDragons
GUYS! Guess what I'm co-hosting next month!! • Preptober Prompts was put together by my friend @rysaarcher amd it's a super fun way to get into the NaNoWriMo mood. (AKA the "bent on every characters'destruction" mood.) You can read more about it on her blog (https://rmarcher.com/2019/09/preptober-prompts-announcement/) or on mine. (Link in bio.) • Let the eerie writer vibes begin... • #preptoberprompts #preptober2019 #nanowrimo #ohgloryisitthattimeagain? #someonehelp #crazedwriters #storyprompts #herewegoagain
Seashell art is my new favorite thing.
I tried a bit of a different style with this one... ink and watercolor. I rather like it.
My favorite thing about this sketch is no one who hasn’t read the books will understand it. #ItsAnHourglass #FullOfSand #Geekstagram #InkSketch #NDWilson #OutlawsOfTime #ReformedMyOpinionOfSnakes #NotThatIDidntLikeSnakes #ButNowILikeThemMore #TimeTravelDoneRight #PoorMillieJustWantedMargarine #GloryHallelujah #DeathLITERALLYPersonified
Because apparently, color-coordinated books are The Thing To Do™ when you’re a bookstagraming author...
Recently, my friend @graciesartwall and I discovered we’d both painted something from the same idea: A boy playing his violin to the heavens as he stands amidst the wreckage of his spaceship. The funny thing is, our paintings look nothing alike. Hers is vibrant and esoteric, wrapping you up in the deep, exotic mystery of music. Mine is sharper, full of hard edges and fragmented lines and the thrill of adventure. I think that’s the wonderful thing about art — a single concept can be interpreted so differently. The beauty of our imaginations is diverse and boundless, and we, every single one of us, can say something in what we create that no one’s said before.
Because lions. And Narnia. . #Geekstagram #Aslan #NewArtStyle #Narnia #Watercolor #ABoringCaption
