Faces, Feelings, and Fan-Art // an art dump

I haven’t thrown art at you since August. I wanna throw art. Can I throw art? I’m gonna throw art. (To be totally honest, I can’t remember if I’ve shared any of these or not, and most of them are posted on my Instagram anyway. So if you’ve already seen these, my apologies. You don’t [...]

Hey, You!

–I’M SARAH–

Oddball sarcasm enthusiast, INTJ, and Christian author/artist combo. I’m a paradox in human form, a purveyor of caustic wit, a reluctant people-lover, and an idealistic cynic who sees the world through cracks in rose-colored glasses.

I also have a tendency to fry people’s minds. Read on at your own peril.

June/July felt like the water balloon of chaos I’ve been blithely tossing around all year finally burst on my head. Everything that could POSSIBLY happen has happened, not least being I turned 21 and am now expected to somehow Know What I’m Doing. (Ha.) A few summer highlights include:
Old art, but still relevant. Happy Independence Day!
Book poetry, made from a damaged copy of the Magician’s Nephew.
By some miracle, our lovely editor didn’t make me take out the part where I refer to Tolkien’s literary masterpieces as “nifty stuff,” and I’m both astonished and grateful for this burst of generosity. Behold, link in bio.
Reasons you should read The Wolves of Willoughby Chase:
Mini paintings for the win.
I had a cool librarian moment a few weeks ago.
A portrait/lighting study. I love the soft, glowing warmth of this picture.
When asked why I write, I'm never quite sure how to answer. I have a lot of reasons. For instance, when I was eight, I beat my older siblings in a spelling bee, and the desire to continue flaunting my vocabular superiority over them became an ingrained personality trait.
